The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s biggest annual fundraising event and people all over the UK participate in schools, offices, library’s or just in their own home, hosting their very own coffee mornings where donations are made on the day for hot drinks and cakes. In 2018, an incredible £26,914,382 was raised.

The first ever Coffee Morning originated back in 1990 and was a small, simple idea where guests gathered over coffee and donated the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It turned out to be so effective that they did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since 1990, Coffee Morning has raised over £200 million for Macmillan.

Katie from our Halmshaws showroom in Hull organised a Coffee Morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Trust, baking cupcakes herself, and raising £70.55 which has been donated to Macmillan Cancer Trust.

Here at Halmshaws, we'd like to thank everyone who got involved with our Coffee Morning, and if you haven’t got involved yet it’s not too late. Visit the Macmillan website to find out more about how you can donate.
